WHAT IS A PIADINA?
A piadina (piadine or piada) is a traditional Italian flatbread from the Romagna region. It’s thin, soft, and griddled—not baked. Typically folded and filled with delicious ingredients like cheese, cured meats, seafood and vegetables.
IS PIADINA THE SAME AS A PIZZA OR A WRAP?
Not quite. Piadina is made without yeast, making it flatter and more flexible than pizza. It’s not a tortilla either. It’s richer, with olive oil and a signature Italian texture.
WHAT CAN I PUT INSIDE A PIADINA?
Fillings range from: Classic: Prosciutto, rocket, squacquerone cheese Modern: Grilled chicken or beef pastrami, pesto, mozzarella
Vegetarian: Grilled vegetables, hummus, sun-dried tomatoes Sweet: Nutella, banana, Gorgonzola with honey
IS PIADINA SUITABLE FOR VEGETARIANS OR VEGANS?
Yes! We offer vegetarian options and can customiSe fillings. Vegan-friendly versions will be made available soon with plant-based cheeses and no dairy.
IS YOUR PIADINA GLUTEN-FREE?
Our traditional piadina contains wheat flour. We’re working on gluten-free versions—ask our staff or check our menu for updates.
HOW DO YOU EAT A PIADINA?
You eat it like a folded sandwich—with your hands. No cutlery needed. It’s designed to be casual, fun, and flavour-packed.
CAN I KEEP PIADINA FOR LATER?
If your piadina contains cheese, meat, or any perishable fillings, it should be stored in the fridge within 1–2 hours. You can refrigerate it for up to 2–3 days in an airtight container. If it’s just the flatbread (unfilled), you can keep it at room temperature for up to 12 hours.
HOW DO I REHEAT A PIADINA?
Reheat on a Dry Skillet. Place the piadina on a preheated non-stick or cast-iron skillet. Heat on medium for about 30–60 seconds per side, until warm and slightly crispy. No oil or butter needed. This method best preserves the original texture and flavour — just like in Italy.
Reheat in microwave. Can be done but with caution: Wrap the piadina in a paper towel to reduce moisture. Microwave for 20–30 seconds. Note: This method will warm it up quickly but may make the piadina soft, not crispy.
Reheat in oven: If you choose this method, wrap it in foil. Heat at 160–170°C (320–340°F) for about 6–8 minutes. For extra crispness, open the foil in the last 2 minutes.
🌿 Little tip: If your piadina has delicate greens like arugula or rocket, remove them before reheating and add them back afterward for the freshest bite.
WHAT DRINKS GO WELL WITH PIADINA?
Savoury options: Sparkling water, iced tea, Aperol Spritz, or light wines Sweet options: Coffee, hot chocolate, or dessert wine like Moscato
